PAT BOONE

For five decades, Pat Boone has been a noted figure in the entertainment business. As a recording artist in both the popular and gospel music genres, he has sold more than 45 million units worldwide. As he approached his 50th year in show business, Entertainment Weekly hailed him for his 61st hit, “Under God,” a top 15 single on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, from his American Glory album. In 2003, he was inducted into the Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame.

Boone’s career spans virtually all media, and he’s been a vital force since shortly after his college days. A graduate of Columbia University, Boone was the youngest star ever to headline a weekly TV variety series, and he went on to appear in films such as State Fair, Journey to the Center of the Earth, April Love, The Cross and the Switchblade, The Greatest Story Ever Told, and many more. His first book, Twixt Twelve and Twenty, was the No. 1 non-fiction best seller for two years. His book, A New Song, sold over a million copies in hard cover, with millions more in paperback; it has been translated into 17 languages.

Today, Boone continues to influence and inspire fans, industry newcomers, and seasoned veterans alike. A successful entrepreneur, entertainment personality, and humanitarian, Boone’s contribution to America’s culture has been far-reaching. For more than 40 years, a centerpiece of his life has been sharing a positive message of faith and hope.
